Over Labor Day weekend Chloe was able to share in the fun with Gabi and celebrate her birthday as well! Lucky girls being so close in age!
Chloe celebrated her 10th birthday party at the club's pool with her friends! She had friends from school and from 4-H and they swam and had a blast.
For Chloe's birthday this year she asked for donations to the Western Plains Animal Refuge in lieu of any gifts from friends. The friends all participated and we were thrilled when Chloe's total reached $146! What an awesome gesture! The day after Chloe's birthday Royce had to leave on a business trip so we waited until he was back and when we could all go make the donation together.

There were many comments from complete strangers praising Chloe for her generous heart. She had 171 'likes' on the page which surpassed her dollar amount donated and she thought that was just pretty darn cool. The best part about the donation was that any donation over $100 was automatically given a 'golden paw print' at the new location they are saving for. So Chloe qualified for that and her 10th birthday will forever be remembered at the new refuge!
Chloe, there isn't a lot I can add to this post when you display such a mature, giving heart at only 10 years old. Your 10th birthday did hit me harder than any of your birthdays thus far. It makes me sad to think I've already had you longer than I get to keep you. But it makes me so proud when I see these awesome things you accomplish at such a young age. Your dad and I could not be any more proud of you as a person.... with the exception of if you somehow kept your room clean on top of all the other amazing stuff you do. But hey, nobody's perfect, haha. You are incredible. We always want you to know that we love you just the way you are. And if you keep doing what you're doing then I can't imagine anything ever stopping you,
