Robynn and Dustin joined us for the game on September 15th. We had a great time shopping on the way to the game and then tailgating and watching K-State win again!
This was an evening game so we had lots of time before the game to meander around Manhattan, eat some good BBQ, and hit the parking lot. We couldn't have asked for better weather. The day started out cool and warmed up perfectly.
We're so thankful for such wonderful grandparents to our kids! Gram & Papa had Stella and Grandma & Grandpa had our four crazies. It allowed us all to thoroughly enjoy the day and have a wonderful time together.
On October 6th the weather was MUCH different than the previous game! K-State
When KSU pride is just oozing out of you as it always is on KSU-KU game days we knew we wanted to be in good KSU company. So we invited our neighbors, friends, and fellow alumni to go with us. Trey and Rachel were just as excited as we were and we had an AMAZING day.
We picked Trey & Rachel up at 6:30am and we were bundled up. We all had three or four layers on our tops and two or three layers on our legs. We made it to Manhattan right after 9am and we were ready to tailgate. We had a breakfast casserole in the crock-pot and spirts to warm us up as well. Lots of fun!
Tailgating--SOOO COLD!
BRRRRR!!!
After the game we shed a few layers and goofed off in Manhattan. We beat the rush to a restaurant and then hit the mall. Manhattan is just a place that feels good. But after a win on a game day it felt even better to enjoy every moment of the city.
When we got back to Hays we thought we'd hit round three, four, five, whatever of drinks and enjoy the day even more. I can't believe we photographed this well at the end of a 17-hour day together but we did!
So thankful to call our neighbors such dear friends!
*Side note, Rachel is the new principal at Holy Family Elementary
so our kids get to enjoy her everyday!*
