Christmas 2011 - Part 1

Merry Christmas!

Our Christmas festivities lasted for several days, beginning on Friday with Granddad & Sandy.
Of course, Uncle Dust was there to provide the entertainment.

Lots of presents to go around, but here are a couple of pictures to show a few.
Isaac got a cool Broncos Tim Tebow football!

Stella got presents too but chose to sleep through the opening of them.

Chloe got a Barbie laptop!  It has great educational games on it that she loves.

Isaac got a tool kit.  These are REAL tools.  The saw has sharp blades, the file is coarse as can be, not to mention the hammer, screwdrivers, etc. are all real.

So this is Isaac's attempt at opening the tools on his own.
A butter knife from the kitchen drawer...

and Chloe tattle-tailing that he got grown-up scissors from the basement.

We helped him open the tools and he geared up.  Royce brought in some wood and a nail for Isaac to practice his hammering skills with his new real tools.  It was a successful task and we thought Isaac would just keep wearing his tool set for a while and we all went back to other gifts.

A little while later Dustin went back into the kitchen and snapped this picture of
Isaac still finishing the project on his own...
So is he trying to haing 1x6's in my kitchen...or is the board to cover a hole he made with the hammer...or what?  So funny!  No damage was done, and I honestly wouldn't have cared if there was because it was so funny catching him working on his own.

There's her eyes!
Hello Stella!

Early on Christmas Eve we had the Purinton family to our house.
Isaac and Uncle Ed patiently wait for their turn to open gifts.
It's just torture, isn't it Isaac?!?
 Let's go!
Caroline is ready!

The girls get some help from Aunt Deb and Grandma.

Uncle Ed is in the spirit!

Grandma and Grandpa got Chloe an American Girl doll for Christmas.  Oh my goodness, Chloe was so happy!  It was so fun watching the lightbulb go off in her head when she realized what it was.

 Her new friend, Emily!

Grandma got a new coat!
Looking good, Grandma Irene!

Say cheeeeeeese!
