Chloe has wanted to lose at tooth for about a year now. As soon as Tessa & Gabi had lost teeth Chloe has felt she needed to lose one too. She would play tricks with Royce and I by tying a string to her perfectly solid teeth and tell us to pull. She finally got a bottom tooth to wiggle a few weeks ago and was so excited. Wednesday night was enough--it was so loose but Chloe wanted to lose the tooth at school so she could get a special tooth necklace to wear home with the tooth inside. I told her there was no way she could wait until morning, it needed to come out. (plus I knew Mrs. Dinkel would give her an honorary necklace, which she did on Thursday)
I grabbed the digital recorder, started filming, and said "Just do it, one, two, THREE!"
AND SHE DID!
Her face was priceless, she was so surprised that it just came out!
Yay!
Chloe wanted to call Aunt Robie and tell her the good news. She had to leave a voicemail and she rambled on and on and on. "Have you seen a tooth around? Because I lost mine!" What a goober.
Then the emotions set in. It was late in the evening and Chloe knew she needed to put the tooth under her pillow. She cried because she wasn't going to see her tooth anymore. We told her that was just part of growing up and that every other kid has to do the same thing. Luckily at this point Robynn returned Chloe's call and broke up the emotion. Whew!
This is how Chloe fell asleep.
Good night, sweetheart!
